Atlas Recruitment Experts is seeking a skilled Metal Machinist to join their team at Better Wear Welding, an Australian engineering company based in Western Australia.

About the Role
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to select materials, machining methods, and sequences of operations
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, configuring guides, stops, and cutting tools for precision
  • Machine, cut, drill, bore, and grind metal stock, castings, and wear plates to exact tolerances
  • Assemble and fit fabricated metal parts, subassemblies, and components into finished products or equipment
  • Verify accuracy, alignment, and fit of machined parts using precision measuring instruments

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Metal Machinist, with strong ability to read and apply technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

About You
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Metal Machinist
  • Ability to operate and program CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other precision tools
  • Strong knowledge of cutting, grinding, drilling, boring, and finishing techniques across a range of metals
