The Opportunity

The Director, Treasury Management, will lead the Treasury Management function within the Agency, working closely with the Head of Overlays and Treasury Management. This role will be responsible for coordinating Treasury Management activities across the Agency, as well as conducting specific Treasury Management activities as required.

The Director, Treasury Management, will also be responsible for managing the cash portfolios that exist across the various funds. This will involve planning, organising, and controlling liquid assets to ensure the best use of the Agency's liquidity, while meeting external obligations to counterparties.

Key Responsibilities


Liquidity Management

The Director, Treasury Management, will be responsible for:

  • Planning and controlling liquid assets to ensure the best use of the Agency's liquidity
  • Avoiding liquidity surprises and keeping stakeholders informed of the Agency's liquidity position
  • Ensuring the most effective and efficient liquidity levers are available


Cash Management

The Director, Treasury Management, will be responsible for:

  • Implementing individual cash strategies that prioritise liquidity and credit quality for each fund
  • Seeking attractive risk-adjusted returns where possible
  • Having sufficient liquidity and optimising returns across all cash portfolios


Balance Sheet Efficiency

The Director, Treasury Management, will be responsible for:

  • Driving value creation through understanding and reducing the cost of funds
  • Improving cost/return trade-off decisions
  • Designing and implementing Treasury Management strategies to achieve these objectives


Risk Mitigation

The Director, Treasury Management, will be responsible for:

  • Mitigating operational, legal, regulatory, and counterparty risks
  • Developing and maintaining up-to-date risk models and policies
  • Collaborating with risk and operations teams to ensure effective risk management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree (minimum)


Knowledge and Experience

  • Deep Treasury experience from within a relevant finance or investment organisation
