Job Overview

The role of the Systems Administrator involves providing technical support for the Air Component Command and Control Capability System (AC-C2CS) infrastructure.

Your New Role And Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Operations: Monitor, maintain, and optimize AC-C2CS infrastructure across Defence environments.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide responsive support to end users, diagnose and resolve system issues, and coordinate with engineering teams for escalations.
  • Configuration Management: Manage system configurations and implement approved changes in line with Defence protocols and change management procedures.
  • Security & Compliance: Uphold system security standards, apply patches and updates, and support accreditation and audit activities to meet Defence cybersecurity requirements.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • System Administration Expertise – Strong experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualisation (e.g., VMware), and networking fundamentals.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance – Knowledge of Defence security standards, patching, system hardening, and accreditation processes.
  • ITIL & Change Management – Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes; ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication – Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate with Defence stakeholders and technical teams.
