Warehousing Traineeship Opportunity

MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees is partnering with Malcolm Thompson Pumps to offer a 24-month full-time traineeship in warehousing. This traineeship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in logistics within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Job Details
  • Hosted by Malcolm Thompson Pumps, a leading pump company with over 50 years of experience
  • Based at Perth Airport, with opportunities to work with a diverse range of clients
  • 24-month full-time traineeship, with a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework
  • Opportunity to become qualified in warehousing and develop skills in logistics
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, according to schedule
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products, maintaining inventory accuracy and quality standards
  • Report any discrepancies in inventory and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Communicate and cooperate with team leader and team members, operating warehouse vehicles and equipment safely
  • Follow quality and service standards and comply with procedures

About You

We are looking for a good multitasker with a planned approach, who is keen to learn and work in a proactive team. You will be able to take your organisational skills to the next level with this Warehousing Traineeship. Our ideal candidate will be practical, have computer skills and an interest and willingness to learn the processes involved in the production and distribution of the host's products.

In addition, you will:

  • Have completed a minimum of year 10
  • Have the desire to learn and have a positive attitude
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to ask questions
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment will be well regarded, but is not essential
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Be safety-minded and a team player
  • Have excellent listening skills and able to follow instructions
  • Be able to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check paid for by MIGAS
