Aerospace Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to join our dynamic team at Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia.
About the Role:
As an Aerospace Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing avionics systems for our aircraft fleet. You will work closely with our design team to create innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop avionics systems, including electrical wiring diagrams, software coding, and hardware integration.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure seamless implementation of design changes.
- Develop technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and maintenance procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing overall operational efficiency and safety.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required to support the broader engineering team.
Qualifications:
- A relevant Engineering degree (Bachelor's or higher) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Aviation, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in an aircraft maintenance or design environment, particularly in an engineering support role.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of aircraft operations, structures, and maintenance processes.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, systems design, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and safety.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
