About the Role

The Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Acute Medicine & Emergency Services is a key leadership position within the Pharmacy Department at Peninsula Health. This role is responsible for providing clinical leadership to pharmacy staff working within the areas of designated responsibility, including medical units and the Emergency Department at Frankston Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to pharmacy staff to optimize safe, personal, and effective clinical pharmacy care delivered by the team.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and pharmacy services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and support staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Full registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA) with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
  • High level of knowledge and experience in relevant areas of clinical pharmacy practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in overseeing a team to deliver best patient outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team in change management and quality improvements.
