Job Title: Horticultural Trainee

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Horticultural Trainee. This role provides an opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture and work alongside experienced professionals.

About the Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing living collections in a world-renowned environment. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on training and experience working with plants, pruning, fertilizing, mowing, weeding, edging, irrigation system maintenance, pest control, and turf culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Planting and nurturing plants to promote healthy growth and development
  • Pruning for aesthetic appeal and to encourage optimal plant health
  • Fertilizing to support plant growth and productivity
  • Maintaining lawns through regular mowing and trimming
  • Weeding and controlling pests to prevent damage to plants
  • Edging garden beds and pathways to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
  • Maintaining irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering practices
  • Pest control and management to protect plants from harm
  • Turf culture to promote healthy grass growth and development
