Design Manager - 200m Residential Project
Job Description:The ideal candidate will oversee the pre-construction design activities across multiple construction projects. This role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee the pre-construction design activities across multiple construction projects
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
- Review project specifications and contracts to identify design requirements and constraints
- Advise on project design schedules and budgets
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations
- Advise on buildability and methodology
- Monitor project progress and update senior management on key milestones and potential issues
- Identify and resolve design-related issues and escalate issues to senior management as needed
- Ensure that project design records and documents are accurate and up-to-date
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or engineering
- 5 + years of experience in design management in the construction industry
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects from $30m upwards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of construction project management tools and software
- Understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with building codes and standards
- Strong background in design management
- Proven track record of delivering successful projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
