Cyber Security Professional

This position involves working with a team to implement cyber security strategies, contribute to risk assessments, and ensure compliance with key frameworks. The successful candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in cyber security and/or governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) roles.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver cyber security projects and initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
- Support the development and maintenance of security documentation and policies.
- Contribute to risk assessments and help track compliance with frameworks such as the Essential Eight and ISM.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure security requirements are considered in new projects.
- Help monitor and report on security performance, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
- 1–2 years of experience in cyber security and/or GRC roles.
- A basic understanding of Australian Government security frameworks (e.g., PSPF, ISM).
- Familiarity with security documentation and risk management practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced mentors.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in ICT, Cyber Security, or GRC.
- $300-450/day rate (depending on experience)
- Work in a unique, challenging and rewarding environment
- Short-term contracting role within Fed Gov
- Collaborative, team-based culture.
- NV1 Clearance or above.
