About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurology Registrar to join our team at Canberra Health Services. As a Neurology Registrar, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the neurology service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake care of patients under the supervision of neurologists in the department
  • Contribute to the out-of-hours on-call roster for neurology and stroke
  • Participate in regular educational events and clinical meetings
  • Undertake research with a view to presenting work at relevant scientific meetings
Requirements
  • Full Registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA
  • Postgraduate year four, or above, and previous experience or training in a hospital-based internal medicine training program and/or neurology training program
  • Successful completion of the FRACP part 1 and part 2 examinations (or equivalent) and in the final years of advanced training for the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) with the intention to obtain sub-speciality training/qualifications in neurology and/or stroke
  • Availability for occasional weekend and after-hours work
