Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team in theoretical atomic physics. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality research in line with discipline standards and contributing to the development of precision atomic many-body methods.

About the Role

This is a research-focused position that offers exciting opportunities for collaboration within the university and with external research partners. You will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge projects and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of theoretical atomic physics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in theoretical atomic physics, including developing and implementing precision atomic many-body methods
  • Publish research findings in reputable outlets and present at major conferences
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to advance knowledge in the field
  • Supervise and support Honours and Higher Degree by Research students

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in theoretical atomic physics or a related discipline
  • An emerging profile in research in theoretical atomic physics, including publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and presentations at major conferences
  • Demonstrated high-level mathematical and computer programming skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
