DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate should be professional and dependable, with a broad knowledge of various vehicle makes and models and servicing according to manufacturer's guidelines and manuals.
- Perform scheduled motor vehicle repair, maintenance and testing, services and related mechanical components.
- Service vehicles, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning, in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Test and repair electrical systems, including lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures.
- Diagnose, repair, and overhaul engines, transmissions, components, and fuel systems for a variety of vehicles.
- Repair exhaust, brakes, electrical suspension, and fuel ignition components.
- Conduct tune-ups, brake jobs, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
- Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts and assemblies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in optimal condition.
- Ensure workshop cleanliness and work in compliance with safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate III in light motor vehicle and minimum work experience 1-2 years.
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably workshop environment.
Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with automotive repair software and tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Valid Australian driver's license.
