Pipe Assembly Specialist

Austal is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join their team at Henderson facility in Western Australia.
The successful applicant will have a strong background in pipe fitting and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
The role involves conducting pipe fitting duties including fit up and pipe assembly, assembling and fitting marine parts such as valves and other equipment to the ship systems, conducting pressure testing of ships pipe systems, inspecting work to ensure safety and quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean, tidy productive work environment with an aim to minimise all waste in all forms.
Key qualifications and attributes include holding a Construction safety induction (white card), possessing a Trade Qualification – Certificate III Pipe Fitting / Boiler Making, having the ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade, being capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner, and holding a Confined Space and Working at Heights ticket advantageous.
