Job Opportunity:

Risk Leadership Position

We are seeking a seasoned risk professional to lead our Life risk team and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Lead a small team of risk professionals and partner closely with senior leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on risk management strategies and material transactions.
  • Develop and implement risk awareness programs to ensure clear risk-reward trade offs in decision making.
  • Present risk reporting and opinions to senior committees and the Board.
  • Own risk appetite monitoring and participate in key governance forums.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in risk management, preferably in financial services, including life insurance.
  • Deep expertise across all risk types, with hands-on application of controls and remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian insurance market, its regulatory landscape, and life insurance risk characteristics.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and risk governance best practice.
