About the Role

Datacom is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to join our architecture team and drive adoption of our wide range of solutions. As a key member of our team, you will use your individual creativity to create and promote innovative solutions across our IT Service offerings, with a strong focus on Managed Services and IT Outsourcing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical pre-sales scoping and costing of solution engagements, working directly with our sales specialists, vendors, and clients to produce compelling, fit-for-purpose concepts and designs using a wide range of technology.
  • Become fully immersed in the client's technical environment to make the best recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver enterprise solutions to Government clients in a managed services contractual environment.
  • Prepare bid reports, RFP, RFI, and other tendering documents.
  • Mentor and upskill the team, and take charge of projects.

Requirements

  • A broad technical background in the Infrastructure and Managed Services spectrum.
  • Previous experience in developing and delivering enterprise solutions to Government clients in a managed services contractual environment.
  • Proficient in commercial and contract management, including pricing strategies.
  • Extensive experience in preparing bid reports, RFP, RFI, and other tendering documents.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the applicability of Architectural frameworks, with relevant certifications.
  • The leadership skills to mentor and upskill the team, and take charge of projects.
