About the Role
Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join their Big Rivers Supporting Recovery from Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Program. This program aims to deliver client-centred, culturally secure, FDSV-specific trauma-informed care to FDSV victim-survivors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of trauma, mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, Indigenous health, and the long-term impact of FDSV. You will also have the ability to develop and support individualised recovery plans, provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate case management, and educate clients, families, and community groups about trauma and coping strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and support individualised recovery plans, addressing clients' social and mental health needs.
