As a Workshop Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading the Haulage maintenance operations at our Onslow Iron project site. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our mining services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Organise and supervise the daily tasks of workshop staff.
  • Lead and support a team that includes Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers, and Trade Assistants.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance and repair works for road trains.
  • Inspect completed work, carrying out thorough quality assessments.
  • Inspire and motivate your team to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Implement and oversee preventative maintenance initiatives to reduce equipment breakdowns.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to enhance fleet efficiency and operational outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven background in a similar supervisory role, managing and coordinating multiple trade disciplines.
  • Experience in scheduling and coordinating warehouse logistics within a mining environment.
  • Holds a relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical, recognised in Australia.
  • Possesses a current Section 44 or Section 26.
  • Deep understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to perform well under pressure.
  • Previous experience using Fleet Maintenance software will be highly regarded.
