About this role:

This position will oversee aspects of financial administration at Sime Darby Motors' Brisbane Retail businesses in conjunction with a team of accountants. The role will drive consistent practices throughout financial operations, ensuring compliance with internal and statutory policy and regulation. Accurate and timely information will be provided to the senior team, external auditors, and Finance department on all aspects of the business' performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable function to ensure prompt entry of invoices and payment within terms, along with correct authorisation of invoices in line with LOAs
  • Managing the Accounts Receivable function to ensure timely collection of debts and reporting on the status of receivables, resolution of aged debts, and assessment of risk factors
  • Regular review of credit limits and assessment of new customers
  • Management of the Deal Processing Team to ensure timely processing of deals along with accuracy of deal input

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary education in business or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience within the motor industry or a similar sector
  • Strong financial/commercial background and understanding
  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices

You will enjoy working in a supportive team environment, representing iconic automotive brands, and enjoying stability within the workplace.
