Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Facilities Engineer to join our team at SAIC. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of mechanical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between government representatives, design and construction contractors, and site operations and maintenance support contractors.
  • Oversee the execution of projects to ensure timely completion, quality, and budget adherence.
  • Coordinate with facilities operations and maintenance support contractors to allocate resources and manage document control.
  • Develop and report metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan, monitor, and execute complex engineering tasks, including technical and quality targets for multimillion-dollar projects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility operations, specifically with mechanical systems within the Intelligence Community or DoD, or at least 10 years with industry.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph, US Citizenship required by federal law.
  • Basic knowledge of government organization and methods of conducting business.
  • Knowledge of facility operations and maintenance activities and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architectural field.
  • Understanding of control systems for mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of quality management principles, including quality assurance and quality control.
