Your Role in Shaping the Future

As our Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of Abi's mechanical design and development. From concept selection through production-ready execution, you'll set the strategic direction for structural and thermal systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

  • You will be responsible for designing joints, mechanisms, and transmissions that optimise mass, stiffness, and cost, ensuring every movement feels intuitive and reliable.
  • You will work closely with electrical, software, and industrial design teams to seamlessly integrate motors, sensors, and wiring into compact layouts that preserve Abi's empathetic identity.
  • You will lead iterative improvements through rigorous testing, simulations, and design reviews, continually evolving prototypes based on real-world performance.
  • You will create thorough documentation, testing protocols, and assembly guidelines that enable an efficient transition to volume production.
  • You will bring junior engineers up to your level by sharing expertise and nurturing a collaborative environment that drives ongoing innovation and growth.
