Health And Physical Education Teacher Years 7-10 Position


Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health and Physical Education (HPE) teacher to join our school in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching HPE to students in years 7-10.


The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and learning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.


The role will involve designing and delivering engaging HPE programs that cater to the diverse needs of students, assessing student learning and providing feedback, and contributing to the development of our curriculum and policies.


Main Responsibilities

  • Teach HPE to students in years 7-10
  • Design and deliver engaging HPE programs
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Contribute to the development of our curriculum and policies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and students

Requirements

  • VICTorian Institute of Teachers registration or eligibility to gain
  • Working Rights for Australia or eligibility to gain including Skilled Migrant Visa
  • Relevant tertiary qualification e.g Master of Teaching/Bachelor of Education/PGCE
  • Knowledge of the VCE Physical Education curriculum
  • Experience in wellbeing
  • Ability to engage students in a rigorous and high-standard learning environment
