About the Role

Mission Australia is seeking a highly skilled Asset Officer to join our team. As an Asset Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the regular and emergency maintenance of our properties is up to date and that tenants are well informed and supported in their requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify tenant maintenance needs, determine priorities, and communicate expectations to all parties.
  • Provide supervision and coordination of site contractors.
  • Undertake building/property maintenance tasks, including inspections, scoping, quality audits as necessary, and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure maintenance invoicing and reporting are regularly completed and deadlines achieved.
  • Ensure maintenance work undertaken is compliant with corporate standards, relevant legislation, Australian standards, and Workplace Health and Safety.
Requirements for Success
  • Minimum 2-year experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in contractor and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant legislation requirements, codes, and standards that relate to buildings, workplace health and safety.
  • Experience in managing site maintenance budgets, work orders, and requisitions.
  • Previous experience working on a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), MS Office programs, including Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with tenants and within a community.
  • Ability to complete property site inspection visits and assess maintenance works for compliance against quality expectations and specifications.
  • Current driver's license.
