About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Consultant to join our team at Powerdata Group Consulting. This role will involve providing technical security advice and guidance to ensure the effective implementation of information security controls.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, with experience in conducting security risk assessments and providing guidance on the application and operation of procedural security controls. They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical systems to non-technical audiences.

This role will involve working independently, with some autonomy and accountability for achieving outcomes. The successful candidate will exercise initiative and judgement in interpreting policy and applying practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical security advice and guidance to ensure the effective implementation of information security controls.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and provide guidance on the application and operation of procedural security controls.
  • Communicate complex technical systems to non-technical audiences.
  • Exercise initiative and judgement in interpreting policy and applying practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. SCAD 3 - Security operations: Level 3 (SFIA) Investigates minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures.
  2. SCAD 4 - Security operations: Level 4 (SFIA) Maintains operational security processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
  3. SCTY 4 - Information security: Level 4 (SFIA) Provides guidance on the application and operation of elementary physical, procedural and technical security controls.
  4. INAS 4 - Information assurance: Level 4 (SFIA) Performs technical assessments and/or accreditation of complex or higher-risk information systems.
