We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Oncology Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in Melbourne. As a specialist in this field, you will play a crucial role in managing complex cancer cases and delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced veterinary oncologist to lead the development of our oncology service. The successful candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and surgery, with expertise in medical and radiation oncology.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of our oncology service, including developing treatment protocols and managing a caseload of complex cancer cases.
  • Work collaboratively with other specialists and veterinarians to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in hospital-wide rounds, case discussions, and educational events to promote professional growth and development.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • Fellow of the ANZCVS (Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists) or Diplomate of the ACVIM/ECVIM (American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine/European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine).
  • Board-eligible or certified in veterinary oncology.
