About the Job
  • As a Senior Operations Engineer, you'll play a vital part in developing and delivering high-performance systems for global engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate independently with internal and external engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects on time, within budget, and with minimal defects.
  2. Work closely with project managers and vendors to set priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet deadlines.
  3. Influence technical documentation content, perform documentation review, and dive deep into system layouts and solutions.
  4. Represent system and equipment designs to customers and other teams, communicating project status and answering questions in detail.
  5. Develop strong working relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and peers, and participate in design reviews and execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors.
  6. Manage budget documents, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing, and identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams within a geographic node.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience managing multiple large projects, with a strong technical background in automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field preferred.
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineer tools a plus.
  • Fluency in French, Spanish, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu a bonus.
