About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Solutions Specialist to join our team at Lotus People. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact on customers' lives while expanding their expertise in the dynamic financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the hardship portfolio, assessing applications and working with borrowers and key stakeholders to find viable solutions.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from clients experiencing financial difficulties, offering tailored financial solutions that meet their needs.
  • Work closely with the Financial Assistance Team Leader, who provides supportive leadership and encourages flexibility in the workplace.
  • Ensure that hardship applications and recovery actions are carried out within ASIC Debt Collections Guidelines.
  • Liaise directly with borrowers, panel solicitors, valuers, mortgage insurers, and Originators/Introducers to resolve cases effectively.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in collections or financial hardship, with exposure to mortgage collections and legal recovery processes.
  • In-depth understanding of Consumer Credit Code, Privacy Act, and relevant recovery legislation across Australian states.
  • Experience with security loan facilities, MIP processes, and mortgage-related legal proceedings.
