About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Artist to join our team at TGI Fridays. As a Culinary Artist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Presentation: Ensure that all meals are cooked to the highest standards, adhering to our recipe and plating guides.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen staff, allocate sections, and oversee general kitchen operations in conjunction with the Head Chef.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all food preparation and cleanliness guidelines.
- Culinary Expertise: Possess experience and demonstrate competency in all technical aspects of cooking, including grilling, deep frying, shallow frying, sautéing, blanching of vegetables, meat, seafood, and poultry.
- Menu Development: Participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all menu items, with attention to detail and adherence to standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and organize the kitchen and stock holding areas.
- Occupational Health and Safety: Ensure kitchen cleanliness is maintained to TGI Fridays standards.
- Menu Innovation: Help the Head Chef to improve current menu items and develop specials and LTOs (limited-time offers).
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock orders, delivery receipts, temperature logs, etc.
- Qualifications: Fully Trade Qualified preferred, Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery preferred.
- Training and Development: Opportunity to participate in training seminars and on-the-job development to ensure that every Team Member is confident and competent to deliver our brand standards.
