**About the Role**

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team at VenuesWest. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to teaching staff in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and chemicals.

**Key Duties**

  1. Assisting teaching staff in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
  2. Constructing and maintaining scientific apparatus and equipment for science classes.
  3. Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and disposing of laboratory materials in a safe and responsible manner.
  4. Performing routine maintenance tasks on laboratory equipment.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**

  • Proven experience working in a science laboratory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and computer skills, including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
