Job Role

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team in delivering engaging and inclusive learning programs to students aged 15-18.

As a registered teacher with primary or secondary school qualifications, your role will involve planning and delivering structured lessons that differentiate and personalize the learning for each student. You will embed best practice pedagogy into lesson plans to engage students and work collaboratively in a small team to implement feedback.

You must be willing and able to support students with diverse needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, and mental illness. You will provide timely and specific feedback to students to support their learning growth and assess their achievement and progress.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Writing curriculum that provides adjustments for students.
  • Planning, writing and delivering structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.
  • Embedding best practice pedagogy into lesson plans to engage students.
  • Working collaboratively in a small team to implement feedback.
  • Embracing opportunities to participate in coaching and mentoring programs.
  • Supporting students with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low levels of literacy/numeracy, and mental illness.
  • Collaborating to write Individual Learning Plans for all students.
  • Providing timely and specific feedback to students to support learning growth.
  • Assessing and reporting student achievement and progress.
  • Behaviour management.
