About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Ashdown People. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Service Delivery: Provide exceptional customer service and deliver high-quality procurement services to our clients, ensuring all services meet agreed standards and performance targets.
- Operational Sourcing: Act as the primary contact for procurement-related inquiries, manage escalations, and take ownership of individual matters to ensure resolution.
- Day-to-Day Duties: Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, conduct sourcing activities, and provide procurement advice to stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Finance, Procurement Services, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers using a range of methods, building rapport and tailoring messaging to the audience and specific circumstances.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide on-the-job coaching to peers and customers on system adoption, process understanding, and best practices for procurement service delivery.
- Capability Development: Develop knowledge and capabilities across all procurement service lines by participating in job rotation, training, and improvement initiatives.
- Business Improvement and Innovation: Utilize available technology to improve service delivery, share learnings, and actively contribute to business and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong experience in procurement processes and service delivery.
- Excellent customer service, effective communication skills, integrity, and a positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with ARIBA/SAP is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- 5th largest supplier to the NSW Government.
