Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our construction projects, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials, including framing walls, doors, windows, and staircases.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
  • Analyzing blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Install fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, trim, and hardware.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, health, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians and plumbers, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Estimate materials needed and provide accurate timelines for carpentry work.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing frameworks and structures.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry, preferably within residential or commercial construction.
  3. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with other trades.
  6. Solid knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry.

This position comes with a competitive salary ranging between $65,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and is paid in line with the industry award.
