\As a General Practitioner at our practice, you will be working in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients.
\You will have the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals and will be involved in various clinical activities, including but not limited to:

- Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries\
- Developing and implementing treatment plans\
- Collaborating with specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed\

- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in medicine and staying current with relevant professional standards and guidelines\
- Managing complex cases and making decisions that align with the best interests of our patients\

- Continuously improving your own practice and knowledge through ongoing professional development opportunities.\
- Participate in on call roster system.\

- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Practice Manager or Director of Medical Services.\
- Be present during business hours Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturday clinic 9am-11am.\

- Communicate effectively with patients and staff.\
- Adhere to workplace policies and practices.\
- Ensure all work is carried out efficiently and effectively within allocated timeframes.\
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.\
- Protect patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.\
- Work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing situations.\
- Ensure all communications with colleagues, management and external parties are clear, concise and respectful.\
- Contribute to a positive work environment.\
- Take ownership of errors and take steps to rectify them promptly.\
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the workplace and contribute towards driving change.\
- Support continuous quality improvement efforts within the practice.\
- Stay informed about new technologies, systems and processes affecting your role and provide feedback to help improve these where necessary.\
- Operate equipment safely and correctly, adhering to instructions and guidelines.\
- Document all tasks and outcomes accurately and report any incidents or near misses to the relevant personnel.\
- Provide leadership and support to junior medical staff when required.\
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments and outcomes.\
- Implement infection control and disease prevention measures as required.\
- Report to the Practice Manager and Director of Medical Services on matters related to your role, including areas requiring attention or action.\
- Attend regular team meetings and participate actively in discussions.\
- Actively engage in peer review and education sessions to continually improve your practice.\
- Proactively seek feedback from peers and supervisors to continually improve your practice.\
- Engage in self-directed learning and professional development to advance your medical career.\
- Regularly communicate with patients regarding test results, diagnoses, and treatment options.\
- Keep yourself updated with professional body guidelines, quality improvement initiatives and changes in legislation.\
- Review and update personal knowledge and skills regularly to meet evolving requirements of the role.\
- Manage challenging situations professionally and diplomatically.\
- Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking when dealing with difficult situations.\
- Ability to perform administrative and clerical tasks as required.\
- Participate in risk management planning and reporting.\
- Lead and manage a small team of medical staff.\
- Rotate into acute bed positions as required to support the operational needs of the Hospital and service.\
Requirements:
\To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

- FRACGP or equivalent specialist qualification.\
- A minimum of two years postgraduate experience in a hospital setting or equivalent.\
- Experience in Rural Generalist Medicine.\
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a Medical Practitioner.\
- Registration with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).\
- Eligibility to work in Australia.\
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\
- Capacity to maintain accurate records and adhere to relevant policies and procedures.\
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.\
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.\
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of medical staff.\
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and rosters.\
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.\
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\

- Knowledge of remote area programs and incentive schemes.\
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).\
