Perioperative CSSD Instrument Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced perioperative CSSD instrument technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a leading healthcare network, providing quality clinical outcomes for patients.

  • As a perioperative CSSD instrument technician, you will be responsible for ensuring sterilizing practice standards AS/NZ 4187 (2003) and infection control are adhered to at all times.
  • You will perform duties in all work areas of the department, including decontamination, packing, sterilisation and loan instruments.
  • You will test machinery such as washers and sterilisers, and have the ability to plan, manage resources and understand the importance of prioritised equipment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Grade 2 experience or higher in CSSD instrumentation.
  • Certificate IV in sterilising services or working towards this certificate.
  • A commitment to maintaining currency in practical skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • The ability to prioritise, plan and take the initiative to respond to changes.
  • Basic/Intermediate computer skills.
