We are seeking a highly skilled Babycare Specialist to join our team at SA Health. As a key member of our hospital and community healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to women, babies, and children.

About the Opportunity

">

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient/client care delivery within a health unit/community service. You will lead nursing/midwifery and/or multidisciplinary team activities to ensure continuity and quality of care.

">

You will have accountability for nursing/midwifery practices, multidisciplinary outcomes, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy, and fostering a positive work culture. You will also provide up to 30% of your time delivering midwifery clinical care as required by the service.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Use clinical knowledge and experience to coordinate patient/client care delivery within a Health Unit/Community Service.">
  • Manage, coordinate, and lead nursing/midwifery and/or multidisciplinary team activities to ensure continuity and quality of care.">
  • Acknowledge accountability for nursing/midwifery practices, multidisciplinary outcomes, address inconsistencies between practice and policy, and foster a positive work culture.">
  • Provide up to 30% of time delivering midwifery clinical care, as required by the service.">

Your Skills and Qualifications

">

To be successful in this role, you will have:

">
  • ">
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife or Nurse and Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.">
  • Registered Midwife with at least 3 years post graduate experience.">
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and relevant professional college standards of practice.">
  • Demonstrated commitment to the philosophies of teaching, mentoring and the sharing of knowledge for the benefit of the service and clients.">
  • Highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team including the ability to work with individuals and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines.">
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills to motivate staff to achieve positive outcomes and facilitate change management within sphere of influence.">

Salary Package

The estimated salary for this role is $121,537 to $126,970 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
