About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Specialist to join our Trade Affairs team based in Victoria or New South Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role where you'll play a key part in shaping strategic outcomes around Anti-Dumping and Trade Affairs matters that impact our business.

You will work across diverse areas, from sales and marketing to finance, gaining broad exposure and engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders, including government officials.

This position offers clear opportunities to grow your negotiation and influencing skills, with occasional travel and out-of-hours work as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Strategic Development: You will support the strategic development, management and execution of anti-dumping and other trade remedy activities.
  • Developing Expertise: You will develop an in-depth understanding of the rules-based anti-dumping framework and its commercial implications and opportunities.
  • Data Analysis: You will collect, interrogate, and analyse complex data sets from multiple internal systems to form a comprehensive evidence base.
  • Collaboration: You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and ensure data accuracy.
  • Reporting: You will assist in compiling and reporting on anti-dumping monitoring including import activity and trade compliance, continuously refining monitoring processes and data systems.
  • Research Projects: You will respond to ad hoc queries and requests from across the business and participate in larger investigative and research projects.
  • Government Engagement: You will support engagement with government and international trade bodies on trade remedy and FTA matters.
  • Domestic Strategies: You will conduct analysis and modelling to support domestic anti-dumping initiatives and export strategies.
What You Bring
  • A Tertiary or Post-Graduate Qualification in a business-related field or similar data-driven discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Competency in tools and systems such as SAP, Cognos, Power BI, and D365.
  • An analytical mindset with a passion for working with large, complex data sets and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities, enjoying problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
  • A genuine interest in trade affairs or eagerness to develop knowledge in this area, as well as commercial acumen and curiosity to understand the story behind the data and its business impact.
  • Effective Communication: Effective communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
