Job Summary

We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Casual Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at Platypus Shoes in Newcastle NSW. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new arrivals, promotions, and sales
  • Contribute to a positive store environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a clean and organized store
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card sales, and returns
Requirements
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a sales role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting sales targets and deadlines
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions
