This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing person-centered care to residents, supporting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent recognised qualification, as well as experience in dementia support. They will also possess effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to prioritise workloads effectively.
In this role, you will assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging their independence. You will also contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs of our residents through assessment and observation.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and services, and who values respect, empathy, and patience when working with aged persons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents to live the life they choose, allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
- Contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
- Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident's plan of care.
- Assist the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence.
