About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Water Engineer to join our dynamic Water Infrastructure team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of our growing portfolio of large infrastructure projects across NSW, Australia, and the broader region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage projects from inception, including involvement in the bidding phase, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction phase support.
  • Support the growth of our water and wastewater business through delivering high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with a large number of professionals in a range of geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors.
  • Coach junior professionals, providing technical direction and fostering the growth and development of the team.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater projects within a dynamic consulting and design environment.
  • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution.
  • Proficiency in water/wastewater process modelling software and knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality work, with excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills.
