Procurement Category Manager

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Category Manager to join our Asia-Pacific (APAC) Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for category planning and sourcing activities for construction, engineering, maintenance services, and capital projects across our global business and manufacturing locations.
Salary & BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities- Maintain a continuous portfolio pipeline to drive procurement processes across the assigned category landscape, including establishing a long-term strategic category plan to drive value across the enterprise.
- Develop category plan and project portfolio for moderately sized construction, engineering, and operations projects with mid to high-level criticality and complexity.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to prioritise and deliver on portfolio projects.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance to ensure delivery of service, quality, cost, and supply commitments.
- Relevant experience in a construction, engineering, maintenance services or capital related category.
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial/procurement role.
- Strong communication and partnership building skills, change management experience advantageous.
- Knowledge working in business or functional unit supported by the category.
- High level of sales, presentation, negotiation and market/data analytical skills.
- MS Office suite proficiency - Ariba experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in 'should cost' modeling, corporate capital procurement processes and strategic cost management.
- Understanding of procurement project controls and project management tools.
This role will be based at our Chifley Business Park Office in Melbourne and require regular travel to our manufacturing sites across the APAC region. We offer a hybrid work environment, with 3 days in the office/Wednesday being a set 'connect day' to maintain our successful culture of innovation, connection and collaboration.
