Home Care Support Position

About the Role

This home care support position is designed for individuals who are passionate about assisting older adults with daily tasks, social support, and personal care. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing transportation and respite services, while also promoting engagement in social activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with domestic duties and household chores, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Provide social support and encourage participation in community activities.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and social events.
  • Offer respite services to give family caregivers a break.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in home care or disability support is preferred.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community) is highly regarded.
  • You must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to transport clients.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is essential.
  • Vaccination against Covid-19 and Flu is highly recommended.
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills are necessary.
