Spiritual Care Advocate in Tasmanian Aged Care

As a Spiritual Care Coordinator at Baptcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality spiritual support to residents and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing emotional and spiritual support to individuals through active listening and nurturing conversation.
- Offering personal or familial counsel, including ethical consultation, religious guidance, and spiritual review.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with staff, volunteers, and external service providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Ensuring cultural and spiritual care assessment plans are completed within required timelines and updated annually or quarterly as necessary.
We are seeking an individual with a strong personal faith, mature spiritual formation, and experience in pastoral/spiritual care outside of a faith community. You should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to work sensitively with diverse backgrounds, and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in this field.
Key Requirements- Active personal faith and involvement in a faith community/church or support network.
- Mature spiritual and pastoral formation, with capacity to reflect theologically on experience.
- Highly developed listening and interpersonal skills, with understanding of person-centred care.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse religious, spiritual, and cultural traditions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in providing pastoral/spiritual care to people outside a faith community.
