About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our team in Penrith. As a valued member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to our clients in their homes, assisting with daily care and activities that promote independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming.
  • Accompany clients on outings and provide transportation when required.
  • Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Provide social support to enhance clients' overall wellbeing and independence.
  • Conduct administrative tasks such as recording shift notes and incident reports.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging)
  • Current National Police Check
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Confident and calm manner
  • Experience in challenging behaviour management
  • Background: Indian, Nepalese or South East Asian
  • Location: Penrith (ideally within 11km radius)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
  • Shifts typically 2 hours long
  • Client requires two workers instead of one
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
Remuneration

The estimated salary for this role is $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
