Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Wanted

Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of the global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation. We provide aircraft and experienced team members to support Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations.
We operate across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Our fleet includes Boeing 737 FIRELINERSTM, C-130 Hercules, Citation and Kingair Lead Planes, CH47D Chinooks, Sikorsky UH60, S-61 and S76, and Bell 412 helicopters.
Our aircraft enable us to perform rapid aerial fire suppression missions, including initial attack and extended attack protocols, Search and Rescue, and a wide array of special mission flights. We also operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems, and management, and operating personnel.
We are currently recruiting qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company aircraft to ensure compliance with publications and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company aircraft.
- Documenting maintenance activities and ensuring that work sheets, logs, tracking updates, and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with a team of managers, engineers, pilots, and emergency service personnel to maximize aircraft readiness and availability.
- Assisting in base activities such as task preparations, stores, and GSE maintenance tasks required in support of ongoing operations.
- Being responsible for tool control and the general condition, upkeep, and housekeeping of any hangar, workshop, or related work areas and vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have a CASA Part 66 Aircraft Engineer license with B1 and/or B2 category and the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card. Type-rated or experience on any of the following airframes is highly desirable: Chinook CH-47, Bell 412, Sikorsky UH-60, Boeing 737, Cessna Citation, and/or Beechcraft King Air.
A comprehensive understanding of CASA regulations and compliance requirements is essential. The ability to interpret maintenance documents, directives, maintenance data reporting, and using technical orders is also required.
