About This Electrotechnology Apprenticeship

Becoming a skilled electrician requires hands-on training and theoretical knowledge. In this apprenticeship, you will gain experience in providing electrical maintenance for Council buildings, properties, Water and Wastewater facilities and associated equipment.

You will assist experienced electricians in performing tasks efficiently and safely. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will complete the requirements of a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician through on-the-job training and study with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

We seek a motivated and enthusiastic learner who is interested in pursuing a career as an electrician. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Good numeracy and communication skills
• Sound computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
• Physical capability to perform manual labouring tasks that may involve strenuous activity, repetitive actions, and working at heights
• A current 'C' class driver's licence or willingness to obtain one
• A General Construction Industry White Card or willingness to obtain one
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification and/or Low Voltage Rescue Certification highly regarded
