Job Summary

A Data Protection Incident Responder is required to ensure incident response processes are executed to support remediation activities, communications, and connection to crisis management if necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute incident response protocols in a manner that supports remediation, communication, and crisis management escalation when needed
  • Communicate complex technical details of incidents to non-technical stakeholders in a digestible format
  • Support the tracking, maintenance, advancement, and execution of incident response projects
  • Participate in incident response activities and escalate to crisis as necessary
  • Understand and apply knowledge of incident response plans and procedures, including identification, remediation, containment, and eradication protocols
  • Activate crisis management plans and procedures, thresholds, and execute activation protocols
  • Provide immediate containment and eradication recommendations to executive management based on synthesized technical details of critical incidents
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelors' Degree or equivalent industry experience in CyberSecurity, emergency management, or crisis management with a focus on security analytics and incident response
  • Have 3+ years of experience in incident management operations, crisis management planning, and/or exercises
  • Experience identifying and responding to threats and threat actors
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, particularly in leading or contributing to global and multi-functional teams
  • Proven time management, problem-solving, effort prioritization, and interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in emergency operations, planning, and/or exercises, including program design and implementation
  • Strong project management skills and thought leadership
  • Coordinating high-profile, complex incident situations
  • Industry expertise in social media, entertainment, startup, and/or tech sectors
