Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and expertise regarding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and ways of working within the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research.
- Develop and implement an Indigenous Research strategy and framework to guide Curtin University's approach to research involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Work closely with senior University leaders, the Centre for Aboriginal Studies, and other stakeholders to ensure the entire university prioritizes Indigenous engagement, experience, and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key communities and stakeholders to foster Aboriginal perspectives, knowledges, and ways of being.
- Strong academic background with significant research achievements and a proven track record of grant success.
- Established profile in and significant contributions to Indigenous engagement and research across the higher education sector.
- Respectful leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence at a senior level within Indigenous and non-Indigenous contexts.
