Infrastructure Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Technician to join our Canberra team. As an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance, you will work under the supervision of a senior infrastructure engineer and gain experience in IT infrastructure concepts, operations, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine infrastructure operations and maintenance activities, with a focus on Datacentre Facilities and infrastructure relocations.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, report issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Assist in building understanding of ICT infrastructure components and services by following experienced colleagues.

Essential Skills:

  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, including networking, compute, virtualisation, storage, backup, telephony, and audio visual.
  • Experience in troubleshooting in any IT infrastructure related discipline.
  • Strong desire to be an ICT infrastructure professional and willingness to learn, evidenced by recent completion of an ICT qualification.
  • Australian driver's licence.

Favorable Factors:

  • Experience with Data Centre infrastructure, including structured cabling, racking equipment, rack layout diagrams, diverse power concepts, and cooling concepts.
  • Experience in performing stocktake/audits in any industry.
  • Knowledge of the ISM (Information Security Manual) and its relation to IT infrastructure.

Note: Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
