About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Siemens Energy in Macquarie Park NSW, Australia. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed according to the standards stipulated within Project Excellence at Siemens Energy.


Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate overall planning of the project, workforce, and specialized test equipment
  • Monitor milestones and adherence to budgets, and initiate actions to minimize non-conformance cost
  • Maintain constant communication with customers, outside contractors, or other stakeholders
  • Participate in senior-level engagement with customers and partners to establish close and trustful relations
  • Adhere to Siemens Energy’s Project Management, Project Excellence, Business Conduct Guidelines & HSE standards
  • Manage and coordinate all temporarily assigned project staff as well as conduct site visits on a regular basis
  • Project lead and driver to implementation of cross-function teams, including solving issues, implementing risk mitigation plans, generating up-sales & variation orders, managing FS suppliers & subcontractors, reviewing and implementing cost reduction/improvement measures, risk & claim management, contract management, stakeholder analysis, and conducting customer satisfaction surveys

Requirements



  • Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, or minimal 5-7 years of working experience within the areas of Transmission Service
  • Hands-on experience & knowledge of Transmission Products, Solutions, and Services
  • Previous experience as site/field service technician or supervisor
  • Relevant training in PM, including certification by a professional body
  • Comfortable handling commercial-related topics and able to exhibit a keen eye for detail with regards to Contract management
  • Able to communicate well within the local, regional, and global team, understands cultural differences, and copes with them effectively
  • Ability to improvise and willingness to experience unpredictable situations
  • Positive attitude to work in a challenging environment and in embracing dedication
  • Strong competence in using IT Tools, including Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, etc.
  • Must be effectively mobile both locally and regionally for projects as needed
