Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care in the Emergency Department
- Teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate trainees

The hospital is a major referral centre and provides most specialist medical services for the region and state. The Emergency Department has direct access to all medical and surgical specialties and has approximately 75,000 presentations per year.

Requirements- Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
- Demonstrated ability to provide services within ED at a tertiary referral teaching hospital
- Demonstrated capacity for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- Ability to undertake and manage research activities
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good interpersonal relationships
- Knowledge of recent advances in relevant medical area
- Competitive salary range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 to Level 11
