We are seeking an ambitious and experienced lawyer to join our winning Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) team. As a key member of this pioneering plaintiff firm, you will have the opportunity to help seriously injured clients obtain justice in respect of their TPD insurance claims.

This is a unique chance to grow your career with a leading industry player, leveraging the expertise of our top-calibre senior head TPD team leader. You will be responsible for full-spectrum carriage of your own files, including obtaining client instructions, reviewing medical evidence and trust deeds, legal research, providing technical legal advice, and liaising with super funds, insurers, and their solicitors.

About the Role

  • Liaise with superannuation funds, insurers, and their solicitors to resolve complex TPD claims;
  • Provide technical legal advice on claim viability and strategy;
  • Manage files from inception to settlement or trial;
  • Brief counsel and attend court and settlement conferences;
  • Work closely with the TPD team leader to develop and implement case strategies;
  • Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • You are an admitted solicitor (or soon to be);
  • You have at least 12 months' experience managing TPD claims in a law firm or in-house for an insurer or super fund;
  • You possess strong legal research skills, are client-centric, and deadline-driven;

Salary: $70,000 - $120,000 per annum
